More than 75% of employers in a recent survey said that soft skills (self-discipline, time management,
communications, teamwork, problem solving, conflict resolution, decision-making strategies) were as
important as – or more important than – technical skills, but research also indicated that many applicants
were missing even the basic soft skills of communication and professionalism.
